Emilija Pijevcevic

Here's how it all started: I decided to become an architect at the end of my high school. Although I was always very interested in construction, mathematics, art and philosophy it took a while for me to understand that an architecture is the meeting point for all of these fields which someone would consider so distant. I got on that path and that was the best decision of my life. Since then I enjoy every day in all of the aspect of architecture and the variety and complexity of its faces. Currently, I am spending my free time learning as much as possible about light in architecture and how small change in lighting can give a completely new perspective on the space.

Architecture fun fact:

I am so in love with Mies van der Rohe! His pointed simplicity and unreal clear forms are sublime. I cannot describe my sadness when his Farnsworth House was flooded back in 2008.
